The Suspend option is a key ZixOne feature that gives administrators the ability to quickly suspend account and device access.
An administrator can suspend access to ZixOne for:
• | A device owner's account, including all devices registered under the account |
• | A registered device |
For example, if a device is misplaced or stolen, the administrator can open the Administration Console and suspend device access to the organization's ZixOne server. A ZixOne passcode further protects organization data until the administrator is able to suspend access.
If the device is found, the administrator can allow ZixOne access without requiring device re-registration.
The ZixOne administrator also can suspend or allow a device owner's entire account access, which suspends all registered devices for the owner. For example, the owner may have lost multiple devices, may have become a potential security risk or may have been terminated. The administrator can allow the device owner's account access without having to re-enter account details.
To suspend a device owner's account access or device access:
1. | On the main menu, select People. |
The People screen displays.
2. | Select a device owner's account. |
The account detail view displays, including a column listing all devices registered under the selected account.
3. | Select the Suspend button. |
a. | Optionally, in Manage Access, select Suspended. |
b. | Optionally, in Device Access, select Suspended for one or more devices. |
4. | Select the Suspend button in the confirmation dialogue. |
The People screen displays suspended device labels in red in the Device column and displays Suspended in the Access column.
